Hello. I see many people are waiting a very long time to have an interview scheduled at Ciudad Juarez. However, I’m only reading about IR-1 cases. Does anyone know if this is the same as K1 visas? I was approved in January (no case number yet) and I’d like to get a rough timeline of what I’m looking at.

Thanks!

Everyone going through Ciudad Juarez is going through the same thing right now.

Darn. So I assume it will likely be longer than 6 months for an interview?

No. I just helped a girl to get an interview, yesterday she got a date for August and today they open new dates and she changed it to April.

You can expect an average of 2 months after NVC "ready" status for an interview. Best thing to do is pick a late date and then keep checking the calendar in case they open new dates.

Same thing happened to me. My original K1 appointment was for late April and I was able to reschedule for early February. So just keep going back and have all of your documents ready in case you get an earlier date.
