Good day all, I'm a bit confused can anyone help me...😟 I filed my 6yr old petition and my husband received USCIS receipt # via text message and according to the receipt #, the case is being dealt with by the Texas Service Center. My case is being dealt with by the California Service Center. My petition was done in 2018. is it that both petitions will be on a different timeline process I'm confused😩????

Every petition is adjudicated independently. If you want to proceed at the same time together, you can do so at NVC. Note that this does not guarantee both visas would be issued st the same time either...each visa application is independent as well.

Even if, the reason I had to do an I-130 for my child is because on my initial I-130, he was considered a deriative at that time until my husband naturalized...?

Yes. It is a separate petition now. It is not based on any previous petition.

Edit: Although one can possibly request an expedite. No guarantees, but I have seen some others do this when the spouse's petition is approved and the cause of filing for the child is due to the petitioner naturalizing mid-process.
