Are the embassies processing K-1 visas now or are they still closed for the Spring Festival?

Hi everyone, I sent my package 3 to Guangzhou ten days ago but then no one signed for it (and the delivery people kept checking) until yesterday. My CEAC wasn't updated, the usdocs doesn't show available interviews the way it used to, and i can't get an agent on the phone. Are they still closed for the holidays (even though the website said they opened on friday)?

The consulate's holiday was Mon - Thurs of last week, only 4 days, since they don't honor the Chinese extra work day trade-off.

That is, the Chinese holiday was Mon - Sun, after 2 extra weekend work days on Feb 2-3.

Could you describe what was in the packet 3 and what you needed to send back?

We're waiting for our P3 to show up, it's been almost 2 weeks since we got confirmation that the NVC sent my petition to Guangzhou and she hasn't received anything yet.

Thanks.

You should write to them https://china.usembassy-china.org.cn/visas/immigrant-visas/contact-us/immigrant-visa-unit-question/

Things will probably move along once you contact them.

P3 asks you to send the DS-160, passport bio page, two visa photos (write alien number and full name on the back and put in a plastic bag), and the p3 letter and instruction page.

Thank you, I sent the question form over and now we wait. I thought there would be a number to call but I called the consulate directly and they said I should use the online form, and that there isn't a number to call to check that status.

We're trying to get the visa in our hand by mid-april, but we've just been waiting on the P3 now for almost 2 weeks.

They usually answer at either 1 pm or right before 5 pm. They’ll answer you though and are pretty helpful. Hope u get it soon
