Thanks divinemercy1676 for your comments =) It's just an everyday normal timeline.. haha.. I try to put all the information that I need.. I am also preparing for the interview now.. going to the consulate's webpage and read over everything that is in packet 3 and packet 4.. packet 3 you can think of as "approval" package.. and packet 4 is the "interview" package.. seems like Guangzhou (the consulate where I am applying to) has more stuff in the Packet 4 than Packet 3.. You also have a very good timeline ... but the best one will be when we all get approved :dance: then we can finally relax up until the interview.. just take your time in preparing everything and you should be fine..

Hey there guys , :)

I have visited this site many times before in my attempt to get more information about what we are going through but I have just today discovered this absolutely great forum.

So I was happy to find that there are so many people going through the same things , awful waiting and longing for the one we love.

Dear G & A your idea was fantastic because seeing us all here gives an unbelievable sense of reality and solidarity.

So I am writing to you now so I can be included on the list :D along with all of you , a list that now represents love and patience but maybe can be turned later on into a list of guests to a huge party for those who eventually made over the big blue ocean :luv: hopefully soon , hopefully all of us

My time line is updated but since I just became a member today I will leave it all to you

Take care and have a sunny day and a smile from Romania

Sorry Tarek. I will update. Also, it would be a good idea to set up your timeline on VJ. Ckick on the My timeline link on the left or go to http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/intro.php

Thanks G! I updated my timeline there and I'll keep everyone else updated. It tells me that based on other member's timeline, my I-129F should be adjudicated as early as 09/26/2007 and my I-130 as early as 07/04/2007. That's great news and I hope there are no delays. I just want my wife to have her K3 visa ready before December when I visit her so that she can come with me. :)

Wow... Tareq.. I m hoping for something very similar.. I am planning to visit India in Dec and it 'd be great if my wife and I can come back together... That wud be so much fun ... lol

G&A: Thanks again for doing all you do to maintain the sheet and lastly good luck to all of us...

Looks like I should be getting my NOA1 for the I-129f next, although it's already late :( It's a little frustrating when looking at the average processing times. Makes it feel like things will be longer than average. The NOA1 for the I-130 took a month which was already frustrating and there's delays in Montreal for the interview.. Grrrr

Sorry about venting. Feels good to share :/ At least, I know it's temporary and I guess a month or two more waiting isn't the end of the world. I'll be with my sweety in the end and that's what counts :)

Catou1181, do you recall what the USCIS website said for your I-130? I am looking for the date they said the NOA1 was mailed. Mine says "On June 9, 2007, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN" so trying to see how long it takes from the date they claimed they mailed it.

my theory is that it takes like 2 weeks to mail from the 3rd floor to the mail room and then 2 days form the mail room to my house :)

Hi to all VJ'ers!!

Please add us to the timeline. Thanks. I sent our form I-130 (K-3) to Texas Service Center on May 31, 2007 by USPS Priority Mail. Texas Service Center received it on June 1, 2007. Since then....nothing. The check has not been cashed nor have we received NOA1.

However, I did sign up for an account with USCIS to track our progress. BUT, you need that all important number on the back of your check or the NOA1 to track it!!!! So, it is a waiting game...now 15 days into it!

Hi all

I am "patiently" (well, ok,...not!) waiting for my I129F to arrive in Chicago, should be any day now.

I was wondering - once they get it, do you get an email notice of the I-129F NOA1, or a snail-mailed paper notice? Do you get a different case number than your I-130? Can you get the case number off the back of the check and sign up to see your touches like you can for your I-130 progress?

It's great to have this forum to share the stress with!

(and a BIG thanks for that chart G&A!)

Hi Fellow VJers'...

Hope this is not too late but let me try to address some of the very good questions that RocksAnne(btw, I love ur usename.. it sounds energetic..lol) brought up...

NOA1 Email: If I understand ur question correctly then the answer is you get the same snail mail I-797C Notice of Action in the mail... Aleast I DID NOT get any email as such in reagards with my I-129F NOA1.

Receipt or Case Number: YES. IT IS A DIFFERENT CASE NUMBER THAN YOUR I-130 and mine starts with MSC********** and thats expected since the route for I-129F seems to be Chicago--> MSC(Missouri Service Center, which I believe is also known as NBC[National Benefits Center]) --> YOUR XXX Service Center(based up ur home state). Please dont quote me on this but I think this is how I-129F seems to get processed.

Getting the case# from the back of your check: I m not sure if this is common but I tried deciphering some numbers that were behind my check's image that was uploaded by my bank's website but I couldn't interpret it or make some sense out of it. As such, I just gave my NOA1 to arrive in the mail 4-5 days (or so I was hoping at that time) and yes it indeed came in the mail on 06/15/07, after about 3 days since I saw the check being posted on my account. Altough, I have to say it here that for some reason the image of my I-129F check was really distorted and I couldn't make out all the numbers on the back of it. This may be an issue on my bank's part but in the same sense I was able to clearly read my receipt# on the back of my I-130 check.

Signing up on the USICS website: In my case, I did signed up and now have TWO receipt numbers(one each for I-130 and I-129F) to track in my USCIS' portfolio.

Hope this is some helpful info for all the ppl who are still waiting for their NOAs.

Finally, amen to Rocks' sentiment of "It's great to have this forum to share the stress with!" I totally agree with it. And once again, thank you all for sharing ur info/thoughts.

Regards,

Pkewl

G&A: Not sure if you are looking for this but I think you can get some pretty close idea about ur NOA1 from my status.

In my signature you have the info that I received my mail NOA1 on 06/06/07 and my USCIS's online status says this:

"On June 1, 2007, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed.... ". Keep in mind that CSC received my packet on 05/17/07. One more piece of info that may help u or I guess confuse u more(it did it to me) is that the check on the bank's website appeared the same day I received my I-130 NOA1 in the snail mail - 06/06/07. It almost looks like they printed/issued the NOA1 even before the payment/check was cleared from my account...:)

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need some further info.

Pkewl, Thanks for the info. I think i am finally realizing that the service centers operate in very unpredictable ways. I will give my NOA1 a week max (since the claim they mailed on 6/9 and the check deposited on 6/11 (image on 6/12)). If i do not get by then, i am going to used the check and a webpage printout as my evidence and start the 129F going.

I-130:

The USCIS website says they recieved my I-130 on May 23rd(a month after my husband sent it) and that they mailed the NOA1 the same day. Gonna hope it doesn't take this long for the I-129f.

My husband called sometime this week to see what was happening and the rep he talked to told him that USCIS was implementing a new system that would in the long run make the visa process shorter, but that it would be delaying the short term things like the NOA1. I haven't read anything like this on the forums so I'm wondering if the USCIS rep just made that up :/

I guess we'll try calling again if we have no news mid-week ;) I'm still keeping my hopes up. At least I'm seeing my husband in a week!! Haven't seen him since March. Just crossing my fingers that I have no problems at customs(which I shouldn't since I'm bringing a copy of my lease, a letter from my employer stating that I'm on vacation for a week and the day I'm expected back at work. I'll probably bring phone and cable bill as well, plus all the visa paperwork so they see I'm doing this the right way :)

Hi Fellow VJers'...

Hope this is not too late but let me try to address some of the very good questions that RocksAnne(btw, I love ur usename.. it sounds energetic..lol)

Thanks Pkewl! I like geology - especially volcanos. I guess those are "energetic" rocks!

Also thanks for the info on the NOA1 for the I-129F - that's what I suspected. Mine should show up next week. (fingers crossed!)

G&A:

I was on the verge of sending my I-129F in with just a photocopy of my USCIS account page and of the cashed check, and that very day my NOA1 arrived in the mail - (forcing me to pry open my sealed express mailer to stick it in! It's Murphy's Law of NOAs!) :P

If my NOA1 was sent by snail mail I think our snail has been squashed by a nasty child - Still nothing :( and the online status checking seems to be on the blink my lovely internet guardian ie Norton, tells me the security certificate has been revoked but when I ignore the warning it then tells me my user name and password are incorrect. Which doesn't fill me with confidence, anyone else had the same problem?

Married 16th April 2007 - Seattle :)

17th April completing military paperwork (Honeymoon?)

Emma flew back to UK 18th April 2007 :(

Change of name documents arrived for Emma and children

Fedex Em's paper work for I-130 to E in US - 10/05/07

E completed all his paper work - 13/05/07 (I'm impressed!)

Emma had nightmare that all her details were filled out incorrectly and actually spent 6 hours thinking it was real - 13th May !!!!!!

first hiccup - E "out" with work can't get to post office now until 21st May!!!

24th May 2007 - I-130 posted

29th May 2007 - I-130 received at 7am (somebody starts work early!!)

13th June Cheques cleared - one small step but an exciting one!

15th October NOA2 received - 145 days

Since i did not get the NOA1 today, i was bummed and decided to call them. Was told that it was mailed. I told them i did not get it. Was then told to wait 45 days. I explained that i need the NOA to file the I-129F and asked if i can use a copy of the check, case # and the printout from the site as evidence of filing an I-130. she checked with a supervisor and the answer was no. need to wait for the NOA.
