Delayed tax filling and NVC process.

My wife's cr1 visa application is at NVC stage waiting for a case number. I haven't filed my 2019( for tax year 2018) tax return yet. I tried to file jointly with an ITIN number. Only away to get an ITIN number for my wife is to mail her orginal birth certificate to irs with W7 form. Which could take months to come back. If I send 2016, 2017 tax transcript and for 2018 all w2s is that going to be an issue?

Note: I am planning on having a co-sponsor just to be make sure.

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate your time and help.
