Hi guys,

We are Sydney filers from Australia and have received our interview date from the Sydney embassy via email but we are wondering if we are required to reply to the email to “accept” or “cancel” the date.

Very silly question I know but there is nowhere in the email that states anything about responding? Have they recently changed the email template and no longer require confirmation of attendance?

Thanks in advance,

L and R

Hi, I have no idea if you are required to confirm it but personally I would reply to let them know that date works well and you will be attending, just to be on the safer side. Can I please ask, was it February or March? I'm just wondering if February is all booked out already.

You do not have to reply/contact them unless you need to reschedule or cancel.

My fiance's interview in Sydney is tomorrow. I'll be posting a detailed update about how it went, what we provided, etc so anyone who has an upcoming Aussie interview, feel free to contact me with questions :)

Ok, I just sent an email through to confirm anyways as a courtesy. I guess it cant hurt and would save it being cancelled if they expected a reply.

I know from previous forums (up unitl about 12 months ago) the email requested a response. Better safe than sorry.

Good luck with the interview. Let us know how it went !!
