Question about auto updates

Nothing urgent, more of a curiosity if anyone happens to know.  :) 

 

I had been receiving auto updates from USCIS that nothing new had happened on our case.  Now, I'm no longer receiving those messages.  While I'm not worrying or anything, it got me wondering if the updating of the system and/or the sending of automated messages are impacted by the shutdown.  I understand that the overall visa process is not impacted.  Just wondering if maybe there's no real point in looking online to check status.

02/12/21: Delivered to Phoenix, AZ

03/22/21: Money order cashed

03/24/21: Text notification rec'd

03/25/21: NOA rec'd

04/30/21: Case updated: Fingerprints taken

06/27/22: Approved!  Card being produced!

07/05/22: 10-year GC in hand!

I've been wondering about the same thing! Last I got update email was before my N400 interview (mid Dec), and now I'm just waiting for my oath schedule, but no update or nothing so far 😕

Same here! I used to get the "No activity notification" email every other Thursday - like clockwork. The last time I got the email was on 12-13-18. 

 

By the way, the shutdown does not impact USCIS because USCIS is funded by processing fees. 

 

I-751 Joint Filing.

06-15-2021 - Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken. 

05-26-2021 - Received NOA/extension letter. Notice date and postmarked 05-20-2021.

05-23-2021 - Received text message with Receipt #. YSC Potomac Center.

05-21-2021 - Checks cashed (processing on joint checking account)

05-07-2021 - I-751 received in Arizona.

 

Marriage-based AOS - Concurrent filing.

05-07-2019 - AOS Approved. Resident since date 05/07/2019.

05-06-2019 - AOS Interview

04-23-2018 - "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

03-16-2018 - Priority Date.

I've started getting emails and updates again.  While the visa program is self funded, I think the automated systems and website were impacted by the shutdown.
