Recieved NOA for my I-130 application on December 14, still haven't received e-mail for G-1145

I sent in my I-130 and received the I-797C, Notice of Action (receipt) from USCIS on December 14, but I still haven't received an e-mail even though I attached the form G-1145 to my application. I checked on their website and everything appears normal, just says that they have received it and are processing...but no e-mail.

 

Is it normal not to get an e-mail after this long? Does USCIS just not use the form G-1145 sometimes?

Nothing to worry about, you've got your NOA1, that's most important. Sometimes you don't get notified through email although you request them, it happens.

Well that's good to hear. Are the electronic notifications supposed to be for the entire process, or is it just for the initial NOA?

the initial reciept notice is always mailed

probably will not get notice about the g1145 but further notices can come by email  (ours did)

Usually you get updates if they touched your case and sometimes you even get emails with 'We are still working on your case, there is no news at this moment'. I got those the first 2 months after I applied for AOS, but they stopped sending those... Anyway, if you made an online account with USCIS you can track your case status there. Sometimes they don't even notify you by email when your case is approved or if somethings changed, but they'll usually update your online status so keep an eye on that.
