Phoenix biometric walk in

Does anyone know if the Phoenix uscis office still permits walk-ins biometric appointments? I'm a US citizen applying for a UK student visa but I require a biometric scan before I can apply for the actual visa. Unfortunately I have to be in the UK by mid February so I'm in a bit of a bind. If someone can share their personal experience with walk-in appointments at the Phoenix office I would be very grateful.

In order to apply for a UK student visa need a biometric scan from one of the local USCIS offices.

It's actually a little strange but, you can do biometrics for a UK visa at USCIS offices.

 

@wanderingnomad787 Did you look up about making an Infopass appointment? I doubt they would accept walk ins, even the UK website says "You must book your biometric appointment at a US Department of Homeland Security application support centre (ASC) when you apply online. This is to have your photo and fingerprints taken (known as ‘biometric information’)."

I know this topic is older, but it’s the only one I found when trying to research walk-in appointments at Phoenix USCIS. The website says they no longer do walk-ins or infopass appointments. However I went last week 08/15/19 for biometrics for my N-400 naturalization case, and despite being scheduled for a couple weeks from now, they let me do my biometrics early without issue. 
 

I went just after it opened with my appointment notice and green card, didn’t mention that I was coming in early until I got past security and was at the biometrics check in desk. She looked at the notice, asked why I was coming early, I said I would be out of the state at the time, and although she looked unhappy about it, I think because I was polite and let her know she would be doing me a favor, she let me go ahead. They also weren’t very busy. It took all of 3 minutes to give one fingerprint, allowing them to find the rest of the prints I had done at a previous appointment, and take my picture again.
 

I hope this info helps others who might not be able to attend their scheduled biometrics in the Phoenix area.
