Hello everyone,

I just received the case number and invoice number from the nvc. I called so i don't yet have the letter they sent out. Just wondering what the next steps are and how to go about them. Making the appointments for medical and interview and all that. Thank you in advance.

if you got your case number you can proceed filling up the DS160 form then fee for mrv/visa fee, when you're done with your visa fee you can now make an interview appointment, medical exam appointment, and cfo seminar(you can do cfo with or without your visa but put in mind that you must go back to cfo office once you get your Visa for a stamp)

 good luck

Embassy has gotten picky about people scheduling their interview before their case file has reached the embassy ...  Recommended to wait on scheduling the interview until CEAC shows READY status.

As mentioned you can complete the DS-160, pay the visa fee and complete the medical .. even complete the CFO-GCP seminar.

As for scheduling the interview, the embassy has gotten more picky on the "when" you do this ..

From what I just saw, k1 interviews are on Thursday only.  As of last night,  about 50 open Slots still available in December on 12.20 & 12.27.  More than 200 Slots available still in January on 1.3, 1.17 & 1.24.  February is not open yet

i always mess up suggesting on scheduling interview when they got their case number✌️..its only because its what i did but i must keep in mind that for safety of all members/applicants they must wait until their case shows "ready". (this is my second time that hank corrected me😆😆)

OP please follow what Hank_  said wait till your case shows ready.. good luck

If all goes the same, your petition should go in transit today or tomorrow,  if so, the embassy should get the delivery on Monday and your status should go to ready before the end of the day

YMMV

I was always suggesting to ROCK n ROLL once a person got their MNL# .. schedule the interview about 4 weeks out and get 'r done.  Then a few people were reporting back that they ran into issues with the embassy ... so I back off on getting crazy with scheduling.    In reality it works out very well just he same; once CEAC status is READY you could schedule the interview the next day if a person wanted, as they know their case file is there.

I called the nvc and they were able to give my case number over the phone. No letters received yet by them.

From what i can tell, the only thing i was able to do as of now was fill out the ds-160. The medical and schedule interview you either need the physical letters or the information to be at the embassy. Completely forgot about the cfo seminar but that almost seems best to do after the Visa. Thank you for the info.

You will get the nvc letter by tomorrow if your petition went in transit today

You can pay the visa fee at BPI, just can't schedule the interview immediately.

You can complete the medical, some print out a copy of the status page from the CEAC website for SLEC as it has the MNL # on it.

Many complete CFO-GCP before receiving their visa as an appt is required and one is never sure of appt openings for this, CFO has limited seating
