Yes, this does seem to be the normal course of action.  Trump says something, the MDL is whipped up by their total TDS and Trump hatred, and he ends up being right.  Starting to sound like a broken record.

As someone who used to live in California and actually work in the way out rough parts of the State/National Parks, I have been telling people this when I have had the chance. It also goes in to Forest Service policy that they must fight EVERY SINGLE FIRE even if it is nowhere(miles and miles away) near any sort of human cohabitation at all. This has led to this situation across the West not just in California. They had a couple people killed last year fighting the fire in Yosemite when they shouldn't have had anyone remotely near it.
