Affidavit of support

Good morning, Everyone

My name is Gladimy i have a concern about the form affidavit of support, i do not know exactly when to send it and with which document should i send it

My wife divorced, before i met her, and she still have her ex-husband last name in her passport, we got marry overseas  and here they used the name in her birth certificate she was not born in US, she naturalized, actually the name in our marriage certificate is not the same as her passport what can we do in that case? please

changer her passport to her married name.

 

not hard to do.

 

provide all legal proof of all name changes. (birth, marriage, divorce, remarriage certificates, etc) They have to be able to legally track the name changes.

My marriage certificate has my maiden name (as i married in a country where the woman keeps her maiden name) and my passport has the last name of my deceased husband

since she gives all former names on the application,  this does not seem to be an issue

i was never questioned about this

1st question

the affadvit of support is required at the 2nd stage (when your case goes to NVC and u are assigned a embassy case #)
