I-751 Texas Service Center

Hello all! We are removing the conditions of my husband's green card.  Our service center is Texas, as with the new guidelines.  Since this is a recent change with USCIS, I haven't been able to find much in terms of people's experiences with this particular service center and the I-751.  Our forms and money were received October 29th via Fedex and signed for and everything.  I thought they would have cashed the checks by now at least, but so far, nothing.  Our experience prior to this was the government cashing our checks almost immediately.

Just curious if other people have sent their applications to this center and have also experienced a lag in cashing checks or receiving NOA1s.

Good Morning,

Out package was delivered by FedEx on October 30th and check was cashed November 5.

If you sent the right fee, you filled the form properly the check should be cashed shortly.

Did you send the e-notification form?

Uscis is very slow lately with the I-751.

We double, triple checked.  So I'm positive it was filled out correctly.  We didn't send the e-notification form this time and I'm kicking myself. I'm positive I sent the right fee as well.

It's the lag that's making me doubt myself, but I always do this kind of stuff very carefully.  So I'm really not sure what the hold up could be.

Once you get confirmation that the check is cashed call them and they will tell you the receipt number.

There is a big delay in receiving the NOA1. Apparently could take up to 30-60 days.

It was returned today.  We sent it ONE DAY too early.  And even though they processed it well within our 90 days, they still rejected it.  We sent it all back today.  Literally just returned the packet to them again.  Checks and all.

Sorry about this. The day they receive the package they have to stamp all the pages with the date it was received. Did they stamp your package?

They then take that date and look at the 90 day window. If it’s a day early then they will reject it.

Yeah its ridiculous, i Tried to fill a inquiry online but it rejected it because I’m still technically inside their timeline so I might just break down and call soon because All my husbands stuff is expiring the same day (his drivers lic etc...).  Ive tried 1000x to make an info pass appt to atleast get a I-551 stamp and its impossible to even get an appt 😕. Very frustrating especially since we pay the fees for all uscis stuff.
