Hi, we are in final stages of green card process for my Fiance (now wife). We got scheduled for interview next month.

It says in the letter to bring an interpreter to the interivew if English is not fluent.

Does anybody know what are guidelines for that? Who could be the interpreter? Can i bring a friend of family member with us?

Thanks for any input.

It's best to bring an unbiased interpretor if one is needed.

That depends a lot on your local office. Some are a few months, some can be a year. Our biometrics were in early May. We have been "Ready to be schedule" since mid-May and still have not received a letter. Some had their biometrics last November and are still waiting. Some had biometrics 3 months ago and have letters. There's no rhyme or reason 😕

Nope, until you have your interview and get the green card, you are on authorized stay once you filed the I-485. No one will kick you out :)
