Hi guys,

 

I am wondering if anyone can help, as I am in Egypt and I recently applied for a B1/B2 visa on the 16th of September 2018 to attend a conference that my company is sending me to. (Company's headquarters is based in the US).

I was given a yellow paper that has a case ID, and the officer told me to get in touch if I didn't hear from them. I keep checking the websites given to me on a daily basis, and it says that my application is going through mandatory administrative processing, I even tried to email them and call them and they said that they can't do anything about it or they just send me automated templates that my application is going through mandatory AP.

The conference I am attending is on the 25th of this month and I really don't know what to do about it. Thank you.

Can't do anything. There is no expediting or avoiding AP. It will take as long as it needs to take.

09.2015 - Green Card received.

Let me add a third, I would imagine the US Company is familiar with this.

All visas go through AP, nothing gets approved straight away.
