I751 Cover Letter question

Hi,

We're about to file our ROC in a week and I have a question regarding the cover letter. Since we're now mailing to everything to the USCIS Lockbox facilities instead of the service center, on the top left corner of the letter, which address should we put there?

Also, I know we should always use the most updated version of the I751 form. I'm not sure how often USCIS update the form, are we good to fill out the form and sign it now? Or is it better for us to wait until the day before?

Thanks in advance!

The address one the cover letter makes no difference at all leave it off or put the address where you mail the form.(cover letter is not really necessary just a nice touch) I wouldn't think they would come out with a new form before you file if it is going to be soon.

Just use the lockbox address you are gong to mail your packet to, you'll be fine.

When they come out with a new form, there is always a grace period when you can still submit the old form.  If you have filled out the form within the last month, you'll have no issues with the version.

Hey Sukie, I have one more question, do you know if the date we sign the form has to be within the 90 day period or not?

I do not have a definitive answer for you, but I would suggest your date be within the 90 day window, or at least the day you intend to mail the packet.  Since you can mail in your application 90 days in advance, I can see how people might have signed prior to the 90-day date, though.

Good luck with this part of your journey!
