In the form they suggested that we should include Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people. I am wondering if it is mandatory to submit those affidavits if we have already got other strong evidence in the file? Also what do they mean by sworn to or affirmed by? Is is just simple writing statements signed and dated from 2 people? If there is samples you know of then please share the link?

I prefer not to request people for these affidavits if they are not mandatory. However if USCIS really interested in seeing these letters and are going to issue RFE later then I will sumbit them with my initial evidence. Thanks in advance.

they are not mandatory. However, if you have time, why not get them and include them in your packet? I believe if you google 'I-751 affidavit sample visajourney', you'll find templates.

They are not simple statements with signature and date, they have to be notarized.

We did not submit affidavits.  We had very strong and consistent financial and social evidence.  The affidavits are most useful when there are unusual circumstances in your relationship (such as red flags, little financial co-mingling, living with relatives - so no leases, etc.).

If you are confident with your financial and social evidence, then you need not submit affidavits.  As the poster said above, the signatures on the affidavits must be notarized - so your affidavit writers must not only write the letter, they must get their signatures notarized.  VERY helpful if your evidence is skinny - but you sound pretty confident in your evidence.

If you have other strong evidence the affidavits are not necessary, as a matter of fact they carry very little weight with uscis.
