As long as it takes.

After 60 days you can submit a case inquiry.

The length generally depends on the cause of the RFE. "Simple" RFEs (missing checkbox, missing letter of intent, etc.) generally take days to a couple weeks IMO. More complex ones (i.er. if verification of documents needs to be done) can take weeks or months.

Timelines:

14 to 21 days is normal. But, don't hold ur breath if 21 days passes and ur waiting. Uscis has there own process and does things how and when they choose to.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Why advise to call NVC as they are NOT the ones who are responsible for the issuance of RFE's. That's a function of USCIS. Calling either USCIS or NVC every day only clogs the system for others to get help who need help at that minute. Just saying.

You are right, Greenbaum. My apologies, I got "RFE's" and "checklists" confused. OP, please disregard what was said above about calling NVC

USCIS and NVC....Two different agencies, but it is true when I mentioned it could take a little bit of time or OP can be waiting for while.

Our RFE was for a copy of my now wife's court documents from the annulment.  I had copies and sent them the same day.  I picture the adjudicator putting those on the side and as soon as you successfully answer the RFE you get approved.  That is my vision of it...
