ACTION REQUIRED status.

Hi Guys,

I have submitted my mother's DS260 about 6months ago, and on October 3rd, 2018 I have submitted rest of the required documents (financial documents, civil documents and etc). But everytime when i check the status of my mom's case it shows me 'ACTION REQUIRED : Submit Required Documents'. All the required documents have already been sent to them in one envelope. They have just updated the date of receiving the form DS260. Only difference is before submitting all those financial and civil documents date of receiving DS260 was something else.

What does it mean? Have anyone of you experienced this? Does it mean they are still reviewing the financial documents and once they are done reviewing they will change the status?

Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I clicked on that link to track my case. It says it will take 3weeks to 2months to finish reviewing all the documents. This message for everyone who has recently submitted the required documents. I understand this part and can wait. But my concern is about the status. Wasn't it supposed to change from 'ACTION REQUIRED' to something else? and date of receiving DS-260 to something else? Since I have submitted the DS-260 a long time, recently I have just sent them the financial and civil documents along with all other required documents. I wouldn't have worried if in place ACTION REQUIRED and DS-260 they showed me something else.

I am confused. Should I send them the all the doucments again? or should I wait few more days to see if the status changes or not?

You just have to wait because that's the name of the game. Since you did not include all of the documents when you originally filed for the DS260 they requested more documents from you. Since you turned those documents in you now have to wait.

In general, the status here makes no sense. Overall, I'd say just ignore the CEAC status. For me, after I submitted all documents online, it was asking me non-sensically to mail all documents! I totally ignored it. And then once all documents were accepted as everyone sees, instead of a meaningful status message (such as: in process for interview scheduling) it says "At NVC"! The whole status thing is not a refined design by whoever designed it...
