Travelling within the US with K1 visa

Hi all,

I just got my k1 visa and going to move to the US on 12th of October.

After the entry to the US, can I travel within the US by domestic flights as many as I want before and after applying for AOS?

I don't need "Travel Permit" as long as I stay in the states right?

Do I still have to go through the immigration security even though I travel within the US without leaving the country?

* Moved from K-1 Process & Procedures to Working and Traveling During US Immigration*

You can use your passport to travel within the US. There won't be immigration counters, although technically CBP can be working alongside the TSA.

Just my educated opinion. Yes, you can travel anywhere within the USA, without - what is called a USA travel document,
just be prepared to show proper documentation...,

Travel in the US is just fine, just make sure you keep any immigration documentation with you just in case CBP is hanging around a TSA checkpoint.  Also keep in mind if near the Southern border, there are CBP checkpoints within a 100 miles or so of the border in areas.

Good Luck.

okay thanks for the replies, guys!

We are planning to fly to Las vegas from ND before getting married after entering the US.

So for any immigration documentation, would my passport with k1 visa be just fine?

Yes, that or a state ID if you get one.

The US does not have any immigration/customs when flying state to state. I know some countries have you go through customs even when flying domestically, which I have always found odd; but the US doesn't. Just go through security at the airport (bag scan/x-ray) and then when you get to your destination just walk out of the airport without talking to anyone.
