Hello all,

Our I-129F just got approved.  My fiancee's daughter is 18 and still living in the Philippines.  Mother is living and working in Dubai.  I've been searching and cannot find a definitive answer on how to proceed with the K2 visa.

We were planning on fiancee doing interview in Abu Dhabi.  Will the case then have to be transferred (after the fact) to Manila?  Or, will they send the case to both consulates?  I did put the daughter on the I-129F.

Thanks for any insights!

Your fiancee should call or email  the USA embassy in Philippines to find out if your case has transferred  to Manila yet. What interview location you wrote for her on I129F ? Actually, I'm not sure if she can have the interview in the other country. But if her daughter will apply k2 with her now,she needs to go to the interview with her mom. If not,she can apply k2 later

Thanks for the reply Jenna.

I was under the impression that the interviews had to take place in the country of residence.  I wonder if this does not apply to the K2?  We selected Abu Dhabi on the I-129F as the consulate.  That is where the mother has residence.  I guess we need to know if it's allowed for the child to travel to UAE to attend the interview with the mother.
