I'm confused. Your saying you have a interview for January and March.

I think your trying say that your interview is March and your NOA2 expires in January. Right?

To the people who already filled out the DS-160 form:

"Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?"

Did you answer yes or no?

The K1 is a nonimmigrant visa, so technically it is no right?

Probably a very stupid question :D

My fiancé had a green card years ago through his father...so he would answer yes right?

What are you supposed to put for the anticipated date of travel? And how far back does he have to go with his travel to the states? Thanks 😊

The key word is FILED. Not approved or completed. So has anyone ever FILED for you besides your current petitioner (in this case,  you = beneficiary). If so YES, if not NO. Most answer it NO as they have never had a case FILED for them prior to their current petitioner.

Date of travel. Guesstimation will work for this entry.

At least 5 years. Go to the I-94 website and download travel history and transpose it to the DS-160.

You need to contact the Embassy prior to Jan 7 and have your NOA2 extended for the reason that your interview cannot me scheduled within the first NOA2 window.

This was the entire reason that I was asking all the questions but your answers were very vague. Your last post (quoted above) lead me to the answer to my questions. Now you have what you need to do so that you face no problems once you are at your interview.

My fiancé is the beneficiary so since he was able to obtain a green card in the past through his father, then I would say it’s yes to that question.

5 years of travel is a lot!!

On my way back from the medical in London. All ok I think except I need to get one more letter from my GP (anxiety). I was there for 3 hours as it was so busy so be prepared for a bit of a wait.

So in reading the other posts, if my NoA2 expires on dec 31, 2018 that means we have to have an interview shchleded by then? What if we don’t hear from the embassy?

also, in checking our visa application status online - the status changed from in transit to “no status.” Should I be waiting for a “ready” status like all you have received or does it not matter until you receive the p3 from the embassy?

You'll hear from them if not then you contact them and ask for an extension.

also, in checking our visa application status online - the status changed from in transit to “no status.” Should I be waiting for a “ready” status like all you have received or does it not matter until you receive the p3 from the embassy? have you been to your embassy's website and looked at the process that they have posted there.

have you been to the subform for your country here on VJ. Lot of experts there that can help you out. Do you have a copy of the P3 letter? Everything for the interview is contained within the letter.
