Hello there guys! I went to my immigrant visa yesterday (Monday) it was pretty easy since I did everything back home(USA) so they had everything on file already.

My question is.. as we were wrapping up the interview the officer told me it would take two weeks to get my passport back, but as she noticed my wife is pregnant, she asked me when does she due and I told her she due on the 5th of September and she immediately told me that she will process it for me so I can get my passport in a couple days. I just received a phone call from the embassy to come back on Friday at 7am, but the lady wouldn’t tell me why. Do you guys think it’s to pick up my visa?

help,I’m nervous.lol even though she told me I’m approved already.

Would not generally be normal but maybe a quirk of your Consulate?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

One thing to consider is that most Airlines won't let a woman fly if she is past 36 weeks pregnant.  So if she can't fly because of airlines rules and your child is born in the foreign country, you may need to file additional paperwork in order to leave the country with the new born baby, like proof it is your child (paternity test, etc).

Ah, I got it.  You will be fine.  I would bet the embassy will have your passport and visa ready for you.  The agent us just trying to help you get what you need quickly and having you come back to the embassy to pick up your documents rather than mail them to you

Congrats on the baby.  My wife and I have been trying for a while to get pregnant..
