Hey guys

A few weeks ago I got a speeding ticket from a Massachusetts state trooper, I've been told that I should keep some kind of record that I paid the ticket because it may be asked about when I go for citizenship in a few years.

However, I called the district court and MassRMV, and neither can provide a receipt.

The most I have is a confirmation screenshot of when I paid the ticket online - which shows the amount paid, the confirmation number and the citation number. I also have a screenshot of my bank statement that shows the payment.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Do you have the ticket with the citation number and the offense that matches the screenshot?

Sounds like you're covered for something that is a very minor thing in the grand scheme of a citizenship application. Print it and put in a file in case you destroy your phone or computer that it's stored on.

I am in the same situation here in North Carolina.  When I spoke to the county clerk where my husband got the ticket from, she said there is nothing they can provide except a background check.  My only receipt is an email showing we paid the ticket.   Hubby will bring the citation and email printout and hope they don't ask for more.    You aren't in a unique situation.  I'm thinking/hoping USCIS local offices are used to this kind of thing.     Good luck!
