does your case having any update ? I hope USCIS will start process AUG. cases sooner

For that to happen doesn't USCIS need to process May/June/July cases first? I don't see a lot of movement on May 2018 filing except for 1-2 applicants from San Jose Field office getting interview date. God knows when June/July/August will start moving

Thank you!

It was very smooth. 400 people naturalized with me.

Time I was given: 8:30am

I got there at 8:15

Was seated by 8:40

Ceremony was over AND I had my certificate in hand by 9:45

Unfortunately because of govt shutdown, the passport people couldn't be there. So until the govt is back up and running, I don't think the option to apply right then and there will be available.

Also, just FYI: Initially everyone lines up outside the building, until they slowly start letting everyone in. So if it's a rainy day, be prepared with an umbrella!

Also, in this location no strollers allowed, and limited seating available for guests. Just something to keep in mind.

Hey guys, I had just my combo interview today in SJC and wanted to share with you my experience!

The officer couldn’t make a decision on the spot because of my removal of conditions. Apparently they need to approve that first to be able to approve the N-400.

I went with my wife and he asked my wife to come into the room with me. He said that he would start with the ROC interview, see how it goes and go from there so first he went through the ROC asking the same type of questions that we got asked when we first applied for my GC.

We asked about the proposal, who went to the wedding, if we had pictures to show, what kind of evidence we had to support our marriage, where in the house do we live, if the room has a bathroom in it, if we had kids, how many pets we have, their names, asked me if I knew my wife’s phone number, her date of birth and so on.

After asking about our lives together he asked my wife to go wait outside so he could start the N-400 interview so she did. On her way out, he asked her if we drove together and what kind of cars we have.

When he came back he said that our case looked good and that he was happy with it.

I passed all the tests and after signing some papers, I got a paper saying that they couldn’t make a decision at the moment but that I should get something in the mail soon and that they will have to stop the card production step and, after that, get me an oath date.

Right before I left he asked me if we drove together and what kind of car we have. I, of course, answered correctly so my info matched what my wife had said outside.

We live together and we have been married for awhile now so it wasn’t a big deal but still, haha! Can’t wait to get a decision!

Had my combo interview (ROC + N400) yesterday around 9:30am. In the end, I got a letter saying that they couldn’t make a decision because of my ROC, that they would have to take care of that first.

On my way back home from the interview, around 3pm, I got an update saying that I was in line for oath ceremony.

Around 9pm I got another update saying “Card in Production” for the ROC

8am today I got another update saying that they scheduled my oath ceremony. Now I’m just waiting for the oath ceremony letter to pop up online.

All that happened in less than 24h which is awesome! Super excited here, haha!
