So our K1 petition was in transit from the NVC to the London embassy since May 8th. It’s still showing in transit and we haven’t received a letter or email from them. My fiancé has already scheduled his medical and interview. Medical is May 26th and interview is June 12th. Several other UK users on here also said they scheduled everything while in transit so we thought that was ok. Well, their status has changed to ready while ours has not. I’m honestly freaking out. What if ours never changes and my fiancé nevers receives a letter? Does he still go to his interview just bring the NVC emails showing it was sent to the embassy? I’ve searched all on visa journey and can’t find anything that helps and no one seems to have an answer. I’m really hoping someone can offer some advice. Also, I have already contacted the NVC and they said once it’s sent to the embassy they have nothing to do with it.

The letter gives you a link to your instructions https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

and a copy of the approved petition. You don't really need either. Have you read the instructions provided by your embassy or just depended on Visa Journey for details? Follow Step 1, Step 2...as they list them here  https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/ and read the other links as well.

Did he make an interview appointment through the Immigrant portal, the green page, not blue? That's what a K1 uses for everything. Choose Immigrant for checking status, making appointment, paying for visa, scheduling courier.

Yeah he scheduled it in the right spot. We have everything we need m. We’ve been preparing for this since we got our NOA1 from USCIS. He’s going to take the email confirmation and the NVC print out showing our case was sent to the embassy in London. It’s just the fact the status still shows “in transit” even after two weeks. Does that matter? Im

scared he’ll get to his interview and they won’t have anything on file about our case. I told him to take his complete copy of the petition as well as everything else required for the interview.

And he submitted DS-160, has police certificate, health summary, passport photos, your I-134, etc?

If your case wasn't there, he wouldn't have been able to make an interview appointment. No NVC letter needed to go to interview.

Does NVC letter have his LND case number on it? Use that at medical in lieu of embassy letter.

Yes, yes, yes, and yes! We have everything we need. Ok that’s what I figured. I’ve read before that the system wouldn’t allow an appointment to be made if case wasn’t there. I’m guessing the CEAC just hasn’t updated for us. I’ve heard it’s done that a lot before. The NVC email has all our info on it including the LND case number. He was just going to print that out. It’s also listed to him.

It's going to be a lot easier than you think. The clinic simply wants to confirm the LND number from something in writing, not what NVC might have revealed over the phone. And even if he showed up at the embassy without his interview date confirmation printout, they have a list of who is scheduled for the day and he would still get in.

Thanks so much. You honestly made me feel better. I told my fiancé I am done stressing over this (at least for a few days).

Hey I am in the same situation as you, it says in transit since the 7th of August and I was able to book my interview date for September in London.

Did everything go smoothly ? Did ceac updated your case as ready on time ?

Yes everything worked out fine. I think ours ended up taking like 15 days to change. You’ll have to check my timeline but everything was fine. He’s actually here now, we’re married, and greencard application is pending. You’ll be fine!
