Can't find how to pay for DS-160

My beneficiary and I are getting frustrated with the DS-160 scheduling website - we try to schedule an interview and pay the fee, it just cuts us right to "your transaction is complete" and prints out the barcode page without giving us any payment options. Does anyone else have this problem? Why is this happening? We're stuck unable to schedule her interview because we cant use the website.

If you are working with the Philippines, I believe this information may be of use.

Filling out the DS-160 and paying for the scheduling are two different processes.

When you fill out the DS-160, you will need to print out the first page with the bar code, and bring it with you to the embassy and where ever else you go.

To pay for the scheduling, you can do so either online, or at the bank in the Philippines.  You basically print out a deposit slip, make the deposit in the bank, and then they will give you a receipt number which is then required to make the schedule.

Here is the link for the deposit slip and instructions: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp

If it's a K-1 visa, select that option $265, then it will allow you to print the deposit slip for her to bring to the bank.

Now, and this as far as I have gotten.  With that receipt number you may go online and schedule your appointment, or you may call the call center.  I have not reached this point yet but the online link is https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=Philippines

I would call the call center, and ask them any questions at Embassy Manila’s Visa Information and Appointment Service center hotlines are (+632) 548-8223 or (+632) 792 8988. The call center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Manila time), except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers in the U.S should call (703) 520-2235 on its Eastern Standard Time equivalent of operation hours.

Hope I was useful...

Steve

Its actually Jakarta I'm at, but under the "new application/schedule appointment" section, it just automatically completes our transaction without giving a chance to schedule an appointment, and it doesnt show any payment methods, bank account numbers for ETF, deposit slips, anything.... we've tried everything and are totally stuck with this.

If you're K-1, you can pay at the embassy. And the embassy schedules the interview via e-mail. At least that's how they did it a couple years ago. The VJ page on Jakarta indicates it is the same:

At the interview they said they'd send us payment instructions by mail. Now we've actually received the visa and still have not paid. Did someone at the office just give us a break, or do we need to pay for this somehow? We sent another email asking how to pay when the consulate announced it was being printed, but they haven't replied to that 2 days later. We actually have the visa and packet in hand, is it safe to travel?

Sounds like you got lucky. If you've got the visa and packet in hand, you're good to go.
