No. Not slaves. Some women rights advocacy groups believe women should not be a subject of being a home worker, if you know what I mean. However, the choose to pick wherever your women is from doesn't necessary mean that she will be working only at home.

My choice for choosing a foreign spouse over domestic spouse is that women here in the US or many of whom I have encountered are self-centered, can't do anything besides loud mouthing and being untrustworthy, and all good for sex only. In college, I only see one or two women in Engineering. The rest are either liberal arts major, or choose the easy non-technical majors.

I want a women who is ambitious not aggressive, who will persevere all the difficulty life has to bring while having the head held up high, will not get depressed easily, kind, gentle, don't complain of little irrelevant things such as " you got me a dead rose for Valentine's Day and I'm mad at you," patient, caring, don't gossip, and can read my mind as I can read hers. Very hard to find that woman in the USA. I found one elsewhere.

I don't like 95% of the American woman and how society has taught that embracing being feminine is a weakness. And it has basically been throw away with materialism being replaced as more of a moral value. Too many women I've observed, have adapted the attitudes, physical, and personality characteristics that are too masuline for my taste. It's not attractive to me. I love women and all they were truly blessed being born as a true woman.

Just wanted to touch on this particular part...and yes I did read your whole post. I am very proud to say I am in the 5% (in your opinion) of the women who don't embrace the things you mentioned. I am not materialistic, nor do I try to "look like a man". I have morals, and I value being feminine. I think it's a bit unfair to lump all American women into the category that you have. I would hazard a guess that maybe 95% of the women from YOUR experience would be more accurate? My mother raised me to be a lady and I have done my mother proud. However, I do take up for myself and I don't let anyone run all over me. That doesn't in any way diminish one's femininity.

On the other hand, I could lump all men in the same category as my ex. However, that wouldn't be fair because I am sure there are some very decent and loving American men in this country. There is nothing at all wrong with having a spouse from a foreign country. My husband is foreign. I didn't purposely go looking for a foreign spouse...it just happened. It's sad that you (and many others on this message board) have had to go through some tough times...tis only my opinion that one shouldn't lump all into a category based on one's personal experiences.

Cool KarenCee! You do sound very much like a lady in your response. Classy, I will say. I'm glad to see you're in the 5%! I doubt you have tattoos exposed all over your body. And you don't go out on the weekend to drink heavily and get into fights at a bar. Because, you are right about my assumptions coming from MY experience. That's what I usually see. And it is sad. I really tried to keep an open mind. And I was thinking maybe it was just the location where I am living. But, the end result, I'm glad with the decision I had made. My fiancee' and family are wonderful people and we're very happy! I have really great American women friends. They are understanding about the things I had mentioned. They've told me they don't understand the same type of women I had described that go out get drunk, get loud, and fight. My guesstimate figure maybe high. But I don't think all American women are horrible. To be fair to women everywhere, it would be a crime for me to compare ANY woman to my ex! That's another story entirely! ;)

Just a quick compliment. You look very beautiful in your wedding dress! My best to your husband! :D

Yes, I am importing my manslave. I freely admit this. I have already prepared his leather working thong. Double punishment for not properly folding the socks.

I've found the leather thongs chafe him a bit and keep him from scrubbing the tub thoroughly...

interesting topic...although I am on the other side of the arguement - I'm the foreign woman that my american boyf tries to get to US-

i felt like commenting. There is nothing wrong with two people falling in love and overcoming all obstacles of geography to be together. People should just admire such stories, and get inspired about what true love can do. I was very offended when I was spending summer with my boyfriend in Montana when at a party, a woman told me that she wonders if I am moving to US for my boyf or for the life he has to offer! Geez, I guess she thought people in Greece eat out of the garbage and try to escape. :(

I've never been with an American man; I love my country, but American men always put me off; I always thought of them as fat, obnoxious sports nuts. I know they're not ALL like that, but so many are. I sort of always figured I'd marry a foreigner. I didn't set out to do so, but I'm not surprised that that's what happened.

...including "heartless animals" on VJ, Matt.

*winks*

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
