I have a concern and hope someone can help me or direct me. So my husband finally got his interview date for June 21 in CDJ!!! Our two year wedding anniversary is August 5th and from what I have read if you enter the U.S. before the two year anniversary they only gove you the conditional 2 year green card as oppose to entering on the two year anniversary in which you would get the 10 year green card and so my question/concern is do they give you a certain amount of time in which you can enter and also am I correct on this information?

If you enter the US on an immigrant visa after being married for 2 full years, you will get a 10 year green card and not need to go through ROC.

The visa will have a validity period on it. It is at most 6 months, but limited by the validity of the medical exam. Generally, this means you will have 6 months from the medical exam to enter the US. The exact date will be on the visa.

You will be fine.  Just wait until August 6th to cross the border into the USA and they will give you a 10 year.  If they don't which I have seen happen with another couple you can send it to be corrected and they will correct it.

Thank you such helpful information since someone had mentioned I only had two weeks to enter.
