Wedding Ring Hunt

I would like a wedding band that looks like:

Trouble is, as I'm discovering, I have expensive tastes, and we don't have the $1500 or so lying around (that they seem to cost in stores) because moving to the U.S. is expensive. I could just get a plain gold band, but C. knows that I like this one, and knows I'd be settling.

Anyone have any suggestions as to retailers, online or otherwise, or tips on finding deals on jewelry in general and wedding bands in particular? I'm generally good with the Internet but I'm not so good with jewelry.

I was looking on Amazon.com and saw some that looked alike but were not exactly the same. They are around $500-$560...

I have actually never been to one of these stores, but I just came across this when looking for a Zales store near me ...

Their ad said that they provide:

I would imagine their stock is much more limited than in the regular store, but you never know! There is one in Clinton CT in the outlets there.

I saw one at Jarrod's that has a much narrower band but with the diamonds spaced like that. I think it was around 250. And dont be afraid to bargin! We got 200$ off my engagement ring and a free lifetime warrenty on my SO's wedding ring.

If you do buy a ring in Canada, we had a good experience getting our rings at Mappin's. The salesclerk gave us a decent discount after some bargaining.

kitkat, I suggested "well, we could go with silver..." and he wasn't thrilled with that. I think I'm hitting on some point of 'me big man me buy wo-man shiny ring what wo-man want' impulse here. Thanks, though. Some of those look really cute.

Yeah, yeah, Alex. My engagement ring is Canadian, and we'll probably go looking in Canadian stores for our wedding bands, but I do not like paying retail if I don't have to.
