Just my two cents worth....Gene bought my engagement and wedding band from Zales. His band also came from Zales. We both wear the white gold.

Canadian diamonds are very nice...especially engagement rings that have that embedded maple leaf or polar bear in them, however they're very very VERY expensive. Maybe for our 25th or something! hehe

I have actually never been to one of these stores, but I just came across this when looking for a Zales store near me ...

Their ad said that they provide:

I would imagine their stock is much more limited than in the regular store, but you never know! There is one in Clinton CT in the outlets there.

The ring is gorgeous by the way!!!

Zales is a Texas company that has been HQ'd in the DFW area for about 60 years now. It has a long history in north Texas and I know a lot of people who have bought their wedding rings there; nobody has anything bad to say about them.

Another place that is good is the Shane Company (shaneco.com). Not going to be cheapest but good quality.....

We actually didn't do rings at all, or not in the fancy sense. We got $25 gold bands, which I am actually wearing, which are about a durable as a twist-tie but have seemed to hold up for about a year and a half now... In Brazil the custom is more that both fiance and fiancee get rings and wear them on their right hands til marriage (although I think people usually spend more than $25, hehehe). If I were to get a *real* ring someday, I probably would go with a different gem, but mostly out of aesthetic preference. I suppose I'm just not that into jewelry.
