How old is she?  How old are you?  I've heard of this before when there is a large age difference.  It still sucks.  Everything is done but they are holding you hostage.

She completed the seminar but didn't get a certificate?  My fiancee got a certificate at the end of her seminar last year.  Our interview is scheduled for April 17 and we are hoping for a May 16 POE.  I guess we will wait to see what CFO does with our K-2s!

24 yr difference and she is of legal age without needing parental involvement.  Seminar is complete but no certificate.  3 visits to CFO already.  These people are Stalanists!

I checked with Rose and they handed her the certificate as soon as the seminar was done.  I wonder what was going on there?  I do know that once the age difference hits a generation that look closer but that was all fine.  I can't imagine that CFO would hold her hostage when you made it through the entire visa process.

Just curious, but what would happen if she were to take a vacation to someplace like Hong Kong and then fly from there to USA?

It would be a roll of the bones.

The visa for US bound is usually about halfway in the passport, for some countries like Australia they quit issuing visa stickers, so it's not like everyone leaving PI via spousal visa has a sticker.

If i was going to try to leave without CFO sticker first thing I would do would not leave manila, I would probably go to Davao City and fly like to Singapore first.  Back when we did CFO we were worried about passing CFO due to wife age, but thankfully we picked the right CFO location back then.

But I already had in place alternative plan in Davao City in case it was needed, I had a pretty high ranking PNP captain who was over Davao City airport in hand to assist if needed.  Thankfully it was never needed.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

These CFO Stalinists don't care if you have a Visa in hand or not.  Jerks!  They have bureaucratic power and are using it!  In my opinion the CFO process the way we're experiencing it is no value added!  It's an unnecessary bureaucratic hurdle! In my opinion they're trying to end our relationship.  The guy keeps talking about my ex and it's making my fiancé very upset!  Stress, sleeplessness, occasional crying is now the norm with her because of these @$$h&^s!

I have an attorney now.   CFO will answer to him now.  I'm not allowing her to go there alone any more!

The quiet, meek and timid always draw attention at CFO .. they will focus on them, demand more documents ...  and more.

The confident and self-assured tend to whistle through CFO.

I believe CFO used to be run by nuns who basically tried to get you to sign up for credit cards!  Indeed it is not needed and it is the last chance for some bureaucratic BS.

That was PRISM in which you are referring to and it was ran by nuns.

Sort of.  CFO contracted with St. Mary's and with PRISM to complete the seminars.

The core reason for CFO in the beginning was to stop human trafficking   much of what they do now is far from that and like said is more like bullying at times.

And I will repeat one more time .. CFO will target the meek, timid and shy.   One needs to approach CFO with confidence looking the person in the eyes when speaking, along with being self-assured.    <<  this is the core of the majority of whining about CFO.

No nuns at PRISM, that is St. Mary's

Can PRISM give out a CFO certificate?  LOL

PRISM doesn't exist anymore.   And in their day, yes they issued the certificate.  After your had the certificate you grabbed a pedal trike to take you around the corner and down to the CFO office (where everything is conducted today)  to get the sticker.

My wife didn't attend CFO at  St. Mary's but I heard tons of horror stories about the nuns there, which is why she choose PRISM I am sure.
