Two 17-year-olds have been arrested on suspicion of murder after an 18-year-old man became the latest victim of London's knife crime epidemic.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the death took the total number of murders in the capital since the turn of the year above 50.

Grew up on the east side of London, lived in and around London.

So why identity as Welsh, per avatar?

There was not an Anglo Welsh option.

I had to choose one.

Bit like Football and Rugby so I support Wales at Rugby and England at Football.

Anyway I can self identify in any way I want to if it comes to that.

In my experience British people typically identify by their "home country" of heritage. My wife always refers to herself as English, before British. Even more so her friends from Scotland, despite having lived in England their whole lives.

I have never called myself British, you might say you have a British Passport.

If someone asks you up front do you say Anglo-Welsh? Or just Welsh?

One of my wife's good friends is from Scotland but has lived in England since she was like 3. She will always call herself Scottish. Even if she was born in England she probably still would have. Both her parents are Scottish.

More likely top get asked if I am Australian.

So born in Wales, raised in London, schooled in Kent (outside London) ,lived in Reading (outside London) and want to make London to appear a dangerous city?

Hmm. Street smarts.

It's a great city.

In my experience one should never ask a Welshman or Scotsman if they feel as if they are British. ;) It doesn't matter if they have lived in central England before they could formulate much of a sentence, it comes down to a roots thing.

I feel safer in NYC.

You don't want to live in Reading. My wife's work was located there for 3 years. She lived in the city the first year then left. Not a great place.

There are some nice places very nearby though. Henley, Wokingham, etc...

I lived in NYC for 3 years and traveled to London about that many times a year to visit my wife (Technically Reading/Wokingham, but we would go into London a lot).

I always felt safer (and cleaner) in London. This was 2013-2016 so maybe it's very different now. Though honestly for the most part I felt safe in both places. I lived in the UES though so that probably helped.

I feel less safe in most of Houston than I ever did in London/NYC. Not in my immediate neighborhood where I live, or where I work. But I never have any desire to walk around downtown or in any other neighborhoods.

Cleaner no doubt (but NYC is way too small for 8.5 million people), but in NYC we have cops (with guns!) everywhere and I feel in peace of mind. And yes, I live in Williamsburg (a posh Brooklyn neighborhood) and I avoid doing drug deals in the projects, so that helps as well.
