A Green Card holder can file for certain family members:

As a green card holder (permanent resident), you may petition for certain family members to immigrate to the United States as permanent residents.

You May Petition For The Following Family Members:

  • Spouse (husband or wife)
  • Unmarried children under 21
  • Unmarried son or daughter of any age

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Assuming that your child remains single you can file for him under category F2B. Current wait time is around 7 years (unless you’re from Mexico or Philippines in which case it’s much longer). If child marries before you become a citizen the petition falls away.

Hello Miteshbhai,

You seems from gujarat. i am from gujarat

Our file from 2006 is current now (F3). While filing I-130 petition in the year 2006, my child age was 11 years. But as on today, he is 23 years.

So, can you pl. share your experience that what was the scnerio, that your son didn't get benefit of CSPA ?
