Sooner or later a Bush supporter is going to show up and call us a bunch of bastards

Probably but even they know deep down that W has and is doing a terrible job. My mom, bro and sis-in-law voted for dubya. Now they just shake their head in disbelief. His approval rating is there for a reason. Isn't it amazing how nearly all of those W04 stickers have worn off in the past 6-12 months? I used to see them all over the place and all of the sudden they're all but gone.

My wife's parents voted for him too - mostly I think out of party loyalty. They now regret it I think - but more so from the point of view that there was noone particularly outstanding to vote for. Hence they voted for George, because he was already doing the job. Not really an endorsement of the 2-party system... depressing state of affairs.

Let's get his "library" open, as in freakin retirement!!!

I cannot wait!!!

A library named after George W. Bush. That would be somewhat ironic.

Should be a great place to visit. Everything will be in like new condition.

More like - all the books will have the first chapter torn out

Now now Everyone is being so hard on George. I am SURE there will be books....The Little Engline that Could, Go Dog Go. Good Night Moon, Thomas the Tank, Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel...just to name a few :P But best not forget his favorite...

Not all of them have come to their senses yet. My dad is still proud he voted for Bush, and he said "history will smile upon George W. Bush." I was like...yeah, it'll smile upon him LEAVING office. OTOH my mother is deeply embarrassed that she voted for Bush in 2004 but hasn't committed to voting Democrat in 2008 yet. She's afraid my dad would be mad. I don't see why he has to know. I lied to my dad in 1994 and told him I voted for Bush for guv, when I actually voted for Ann Richards.

P.S. my dad voted for Clayton Williams in 1990 for governor of Texas; Google him and his famous rape comment. No accounting for taste, eh?

Not all of them but that approval rating shows many of them are coming around. I just hope we (Dems) can get a decent candidate to run against the Rep's in 2008. IMO no one should have to divulge their vote if they don't want to.

true that, and what about people waving little US flags when the presidential motorcade drives by? Havent seen much of that on the news lately.

The sad thing is it's like if you fly the US Flag or show patriotism it means you support the war. I love this country and I'm grateful for our soldiers but I do not support this war.

My wife's parents voted for him too - mostly I think out of party loyalty. They now regret it I think - but more so from the point of view that there was noone particularly outstanding to vote for. My bro, sis-in-law, and mom did the same exact thing. My mom wishes she had voted for Kerry but my bro and sis-in-law say they still would have voted the same way because they didn't trust Kerry. Go figure.

Yes, exactly!! But who cares really, as long as he is out of office? I voted for him once, with a misguided assurance based upon his Father's tenure. A man I met, talked with (twice) and highly respect to this day. Sad that offspring sometimes don't follow.

Are you joking????

Bush Sr. is the reason all of this is happening now! Jr. is only "following through" on the things his father started. They really are doing things in the interest of the family.... the Saudi royal family, that is. And if the Saudi's are doing well, the Bush's are doing well too!

Go to the real library and see just how much the Bush regime is making off of Jr.'s little adventure over there in Arabia.

WASHINGTON, May 2–And you thought he was still “the decider.”

President Bush coined a new nickname for himself — ‘’the commander guy” —

on Wednesday, as he criticized Congressional Democrats in a speech to the

annual gathering of the Associated General Contractors of America, a

construction industry trade group.

The man who last year proclaimed “I’m the decider,’’ in response to a question

about whether he would fire Donald Rumsfeld as defense secretary, came up

with this latest moniker in explaining why he vetoed an Iraq war spending bill

that dictated a timeline for troops to withdraw from Iraq.

“The question is, ‘Who ought to make that decision, the Congress or the

commanders?,’’ Mr. Bush said. “As you know, my position is clear – I’m the

commander guy.”

Mr. Bush issued the veto Tuesday; on Wednesday, the House failed to muster

the two-thirds majority necessary for an override and Congressional leaders

went to the White House to talk to the commander guy about a new spending

measure.

Both sides said afterward they believed compromise was possible. But if

Democrats try to tie his hands in prosecuting the war, Mr. Bush has vowed to

exercise his veto power again.

Would that make him “veto man?”

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

What I'm suggesting is the voters are chopf##ks because they take part in a system that doesn't even acknowledge their wishes.

A library named after George W. Bush. That would be somewhat ironic.

Would it have a sign out front that says:

"Come inside for books and stuff and things"

Yes, exactly!! But who cares really, as long as he is out of office? I voted for him once, with a misguided assurance based upon his Father's tenure. A man I met, talked with (twice) and highly respect to this day. Sad that offspring sometimes don't follow.

Actually, it's rare that offspring DO follow their parents' approach (as rulers).
