Most of the cases related to i-485 is handled by National Benefits Center (NBC).

No one gets notified once the file is transferred to local field office. You will only know when your interview is scheduled. Beside that there is no way to know.

If you call USCIS and tell them about your case, they will tell your where is your local office. I thought my field office is Santa Ana before, after give them a call I found my case was in queue at San Diego. According their processing time, most likely they will schedule the interview at 6-8. Hope it is coming soon.

Yeah, that's not good. Keep us posted on your renewal process for EAD and AP. I also would need to do the same later this year around October/November,

Did you check what date your local field office is working on?

Please keep us posted. I think you and I have same PD i.e. 27th April 2017.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum.... My case is very similar like yours (but I'm F2B Category), I had my interview on April 11th and officer recommend me for approval but needs to wait until Priority Date becomes current. So, finally My PD become current Today, yay

I-130 PD - January 2013

I-130 Approval - September 2013

September AOS Filing (after I became current for Dates of Filing):

I-485 PD - September 28th, 2018

I-765 PD - September 28th, 2018

I-131 PD - September 28th, 2018

I-485 PD - AOS Interview April 11th (San Bernardino, CA)

April 12th - Just check that My PD Becomes Current on May 2019

I-765/I-131 Approval April 25th, FINALLY!!! (took 7 months)

I-765/I-131 Expected Delivery (May 2)

What do you guys recommend to do once your priority date becomes current? Wait for the green card approval or raise a SR immediately just in case.

I expected to receive my green card approval in the next couple of weeks, but I read in other forums that raising a SR would not hurt at all. I read about some cases taking 3-6 months just because USCIS forgot to process them.

I did raise a SR on my EAD on March 23th, and it looks that it works, because my case was just sitting there (more than 6 months) and finally they approve me on April 25th.

Good Luck to all.

I’m waiting a couple of weeks before raiding it. Or even a couple of months. My EAD is valid until August. So I’d raise a SR in July probably

Hey guys! I got my I-130 approved and it was saying that even though I mentioned that I was going to adjust my status they didn't find evidence that I would be able to do so, therefore they send my approval to NVC. As I understood it happened not only to me. Did you wait for NVC contact you (or at least 30 days) and then contacted NVC or did you send them an email right away with explanation that you are already in the process of adjustment?

And congratulation to all who got their green card already!

Question..

While one is on H1B and they  were issued a EAD

how do they change the status from H1B to EAD.. how does USCIS get to know if the person is on H1B or EAD  ??

they say you have to go out of the country and get back in

in other words   .. when i visit another country and while returning to USA,,,  i use my EAD to get in...   ..  does that mean my H1B is not valid anymore ???
