Does anyone know if you HAVE to have your interview letter with you at the time of your interview? We have been waiting a month for ours to come in the mail and i'm stressing that we are not going to have it in time

Not sure, but DO print out the email and take it with you. Remember MTL uses regular Canada Post....

Ask your Embassy...some of them require the interview letter .... good luck

Call them, see if you'll need it,

or just ask them to fax it to you or

e-mail a confirmation to you with the interview time and date details.

Our interview letter was sent by E-mail.

Not sure about Canada, but I know for sure that all consulates in India require an interview letter.

I would suggest sending an e-mail to your consulate and ask them to send a PDF version of the interview letter by e-mail. I did the same for my wife.

I belive on another post she has tried numerous times for them to resend the letter!! If you have an email staing they won't resend it, ensure you take it and any other email evidence with you. Of course emailing/calling again can't hurt, explaining ur interview date is fast approaching, and stil no interview letter. Best of luck

Well I called again today and was told the same thing. It was mailed 4/10 and they don't know why i don't have it. No they won't fax it or anything and that we don't need it to get into the interview as long as he has his passport and medical done. Then they got nasty and said i email them too much...only maybe every 3-4 weeks...don't think that is alot. So after the phone call I emailed them to see if they would email me the letter....hopefully didn't piss them off to bad with that but if we wouldn't have called or emailed them we wouldn't even know we have an interview.

We never recieved the letter after the embassy said they snail mailed it 2 weeks ago. We emailed them today once again requesting the letter so they said they would fax it to us, we received the interview letter about 10 minutes after requesting it via fax.

When ur there for the interview,they will hand you your documents back to verify everything is correct. Ensure you do, especially your address. Best of luck

That is terrible customer service eh "you call too much" well if they ere clear and accurate and reliable you wouldn't need to bother them.

Not sure about needing to bring the letter - on the letter it says to bring it with you to the interview and to bring it to the medical. I think the medical just needs the MTL.... number though.

If I were you I'd just print out all the correspondance from MTL and bringit with you to the interview on your scheduled dat and hope for the best.

I guess the letter itself is not extremly important, bu tits nice to have the package to ensure one has everything. Of course thanks to VJ one can find what is required, but otherwise, you may not!!
