Wait times for K-1 USCIS

I have been waiting 8 months now for a response from USCIS. I have submitted and inquiry which they say they've "sent a response" for but I haven't received it. If it's coming via snail mail, does that mean it's bad news? Is anyone else having the same time frame for wait times? Is there any way to contact anyone in the CSC that may be processing the petition?

If you're waiting for a NOA2, unfortunately with wait times being what they are, it's taking quite a while to have cases processed and sent to the NVC. According to the USCIS website, they're currently processing I-129Fs filed as of June 27 (even though in reality, there's already been a few August cases approved). If you're case is earlier than that timeframe, you can contact USCIS and ask for a Tier 2 Officer. If you explain your situation to them, they can give you the status of your case, and hopefully that will speed you along in the pipeline somewhat or at least give you peace of mind. Otherwise, you can always involve your local senator or congressperson. Most have a page on their website for making official USCIS inquiries, and that'll likely help speed your case along. In general, though, if you're after that June 27th date, there's really nothing to do but wait until they update the processing times webpage.

Just to clarify, do you mean you've been waiting for your NOA2, or did you submit a related question to CSC and are awaiting a reply to that?

Both.  I am waiting for my NOA2 and submitted an inquiry as to why I'm still waiting and I'm waiting on the response to that inquiry as well as the NOA2. I haven't heard anything

Yes this seems to be the new norm, mind blowing.  Still awaiting USCIS to start my application, application was received 30 June 2017 around 8 months now.  Website updates don't really happen and if they do not by much.  Seems they are very very slow.  continue to receive the run around about receipt numbers and  processing, blah blah blah.... Sight now says (as of 30 Nov 2017, but updated 1 Feb 2018)   processing as of Tuesday 27 June 2017 they couldn't even do the whole week.  I can't see how it takes this long to start and process an application I really can't.  Either the application is together and ready or its not.  The Embassy is the one that does the medical and interview.  anyways still waiting, life and future on hold waiting for someone to pull my packet off the desk.....till next time

I am having the same problem.  I got my NOA1 July 7, and the USCIS website says they are on August 1 applications.  I  haven't heard anything.  I've spoken to a tier 2 at USCIS, they told me nothing new.  I had the congressman reach out for me, they responded with the same old response.  I reached out to a lawyer and the lawyer said there's nothing they can really do at this point.  I am feeling confused and helpless.  Did anyone else have this problem but finally got a response?

Thread is moved from the K-1 Process forum to the USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic is about wait-times and nonresponse.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
