Probably a dumb question, but does a state ID count? She doesn't drive, so she just has a Wisconsin State ID (which looks the same as a driver's license), and her GC, obviously. I'm just scared to risk it, but I'd rather get this new passport business done with sooner, rather than later (since we only have about 5.5 months of the photos and guarantor signatures being valid).

A state ID would count as it is not required to have a driver's license in our state.  Some proof of identification that the state can trust, the state ID would be fine.

I'm like you, I want to get it done today and be done with it and not worry about it.  Unfortunately it doesn't work out that way in this situation.  Since you have some time to kill while they are valid, and we have no idea how long USCIS is going to take, it'd be okay to wait a few months before submitting to update the passport if you really felt you wanted to bring the passport with you to biometrics.

Hi everyone, after checking many times and unable even to get my case up on the USCIS website,

I have just checked and found this showing, it looks as though they have completed my fingerprint review, whatever that means , any ideas, first time anything has shown since submitting my I- 751 to California in early February!

Fingerprint Review Was Completed

As of May 4, 2018, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC**********, at our California Service Center location. We will let you know if we make a decision or need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Good news! It looks like what we speculated may happen has to you, in that they would use older biometrics for this purpose (i.e. red tape cutting). We will want to wait until this happens to a few more early February filers before we say this is a trend. Is it too early to update the tracking table? I feel a sense of anxiety for you @redstripe54 and I don't want to jinx it :)

Plenty of other ROC filers in separate threads are seeing their cases being transferred to local offices, so it looks as if they are making a concerted effort to clear backlogs and become more efficient.

Hopefully, we'll hear from a few more California filers that this is also happening to their cases.

Thanks Starsky, we shall wait and see if this is a trend for us early Feb CSC filers, it has given me a good feeling, at least something is happening, like I said before, I couldn't even get my case number to input before, and then suddenly bam! this happens, wish me luck, hopefully you might get something like this as well.

Hello guys, I have filed my I-751 since the 10th of April and yet no NOA. Is there any one in this forum in my shoes or got any idea what to do next? My 2yrs green card expires July 8th.

There are definitely a lot of folks in your shoes. Check out this thread which is definitely more appropriate for you since this one you posted in is for February 2018 filers. Good luck to you!

Hi everyone! First time poster. I filed my I-751 paperwork in late February 2018 at the CSC and haven't seen any updates on the USCIS website until today. Today, this message popped up! I would assume this really means they are reusing my old fingerprints and I wont have to wait to get a biometrics appointment.

@mojzte did you use the receipt number from the one year extension notice? I tried to use that to check my case status, it says in valid receipts number. :(

If you are using the case tracking app or the direct uscis.gov website then you may be seeing an "invalid number" or "cannot update at this time" type message. Recommend using the new DHS website (it requires a separate registration). You should find there that you can track your case. Right now I see nothing at the former but when I sign into DHS I do see a status.

Further to the above, are you using the new website to track your case status or did the update you mentioned yesterday happen through the old site?

Exactly, I had to use the new USCIS website. The old one doesnt show any status update, it says "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case."

I got that fingerprint update using the old site!

I checked my case status online and received the "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" notice on May 7th. We are filing out of CSC so I was expecting a Biometrics appt and a long wait but this is a bit refreshing. Hopefully this can speed up our process.

Interesting. And you are actually last (by date) on the filing list for February. I would have expected them to first work through petitions received earlier in the month.

Keep the updates coming guys. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this yet. I just read of some March filers who are seeing the same "we reviewed your biometrics" updates as a few of us in here.
