With the long delays for NOA2 I am wondering if we need a new CENOMAR and Police Certificates.  We went ahead and got those in October when we thought we would be through this by the end of 2017.  Is there an expiration date on these?

My email from NVC...... Says to bring new Police Cert to interview  if submitted more than a year ago.

From my experience, the US embassy (in Singapore) requested specifically that the police clearances be valid 6 months from when I was interviewed. Even though the validity of the clearance was for 1 year. I think it is embassy specific.

CENOMAR is only valid for one year, should state this on the document.  However, USEM tend to want them no older than 6 months.      I have read recently that even birth certificates are now marked for limited validity.

Police certificate?  Did you fiancee reside in a foreign country?  (local police certificate is not wanted)  If you fiancee resided in a foreign country for 6 months or more at some point and has not returned since receiving the police certificate then it should be fine.     If you are talking NBI, that again is a  - not older than 6 months document.

Rose lived in Korea and Ireland but that was over 10 years ago.

CENOMAR and NBI should be good if we can interview by April.

If she has police certificates from both places, and has not resided there since they should be good.

Yes, she has those certs and hasn't been in Ireland for 10 years and Korea for 20.  I was worried about CENOMAR and NBI.  The way things are going it would just be another hurdle to get through.  Maybe she should just go and renew those.

Patience.   Even after you receive the NOA2 there will be about a month to get those documents before you will even receive the MNL#

Good point.  No reason to rush at this point.
