Montreal Embassy Expedited Petition

We got an email advising us that our petition has been expedited (not at our request ). Anyone have any experience with this?

It happens lately, as far as I know it means they sent it digitally. In some embassies they changed the system already so it is not anything to worry about. Good luck in the next step.

Yes it happened to us too

I think it just means they sent your package...

And they use the term expedited because they actually send the file over to Montreal electronically...

If you filed a g1145 form. 

 

I know it was odd when we saw that wording aswell.

Same thing happened with us. We got excited thinking we'd be able to schedule our interview quickly - but thats not the case! Just means the embassy will receive your petition soon.

 

Keep checking your CEAC status and once it says 'Ready' submit Packet 3. You might need to send a couple times before the embassy sends your packet 4.

our NOA2 expires in March so we're hoping we will have an interview in February. We were also hoping that the expedited petition will ensure this will happen. But maybe not?
