I was just wondering,  last year I had an approved 129f  with my ex fiance dated july 2017  but we didnt work out but tooo late the petition was approved and i received a hard copy  from us embassy in manila.  But I just ignored everything  didnt go.for medical  or scheduled an interview and lost in contact with my ex fiance not sure  if he cancelled the petition or not.   What i kmew is he started dating someone from the u. S. After a month  i started dating my  husband and married in my country  last month,  Dec.  We will be sooon filing 130 sooon for spousal visa im wondering if that petition  was not cancelled would i get problems in my application?  And how long is the validity of  an approved 129f ? And also on the approved 129f  hard copIes  i saw  that i have an alien registration number  then  on the 130 that my husband is filling out  its asking for alien registration number im confuse now wether i'll put that number which was on previous 129f on that alien registration number its asking  on i130  even its on different petition?

I'll suggest for you to contact your ex boyfriend and cancel the previous application.

But even if you do, you will be heavily questioned about that application during the interview.

I-129F petitions carry an expiration date; because of that, there is nothing you or your ex need to do in that regard.  However, it is fair game in terms of questions that could be asked at a future visa interview so be prepared to have to answer questions about that relationship.

Hi ryan thank u for ur reply i think i just double check the paperworks it says the approved i29f  will expire 4 months after it was approved then i just checked it and it specialy it already expires  last  year november. Because i dont think its "proper" to contact an ex especially now  that im married.  Ill take note of ur advise.  Thank u very much:)

I would suggest reaching out to the embassy to confirm that the I-129F expired. While it does have an initial 4 month expiration, the embassy may renew it automatically for another 4 months (usually up to a year).

When your spouse answers the question on the I-130 about whether anybody filed a previous petition in your behalf, he will need to indicate, when, where, by whom and result.  The result is "visa not applied for".  When, where and whom are answers you will need to give him.
