Hey I am the US spouse. My husband is the permenant resident. I was reading the step by step guide on VJ. One of the things listed is showing proof of spouses citizenship. It showed a list of different things including birth certificate and current passport. Do I need to submit all these things or just one of them? Like can I send a copy of my US passport and not my birth certificate? Just curious.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yep just the one type of evidence from the proof of us spouse is a citizen list.

 

I would suggest you husband applying online if he can as they seem to be being processed quicker than those who applied months before on paper. 

 

There is at least one online applied person from August who has their interview before myself who applied by paper in April at San Fransisco and I have heard of it happening at another office as well
