Then IO start with N400 interview. I passed all the tests.

At the end , he again asked your condition needs to be removed first before you apply for the citizenship.

I said my spouse is here if you want to take I-751 interview. He said why would I take an interview with your spouse? I said we apply jointly for I751 condition to be removed. He said You should not apply N400 before I751 approved.

He said he will see what he can do in this case.

It is been more than 10 days now. no status update. I 751 is still with NBC.

Does anyone have any idea?

This IO is full of it. Sure, they would rather see you wait to file the N400 after the I751 is completed and certainly, USCIS should process the I751 in less than 1.5-2 years, but it is not a requirement to wait for the I751 to file the N400.

In our case, our I751 was approved 30 days after the NBC transfer, but our IO was much more understanding and in fact did conduct an I751 interview when my wife was scheduled for her N400 interview.

I had a quick question in terms of address change. I currently live in Chicago and filed for my N-400 under the Chicago lockbox. Looks like me and my husband will be moving to San Francisco within the next month or so. I know there's an address change form that I can fill out for the new address but do I need to somehow get my case moved to the local SF field office as well? If so, does anyone know how?

June 5 was my interview here in St Louis, cleared the written, oral and civics test. Interviewer mentioned within a month I should receive a letter mentioning where the naturalization ceremony would occur.

Hi, once you update your address USCIS will transfer your file automatically. It will delay things a bit though now that many applications are electronic, the delay may not be significant.

Not sure about the relative speeds of Chicago vs SF to determine whether it will ultimately make a difference, but you'll have at least a 3 month delay as you need to establish residence in the field office's jurisdiction before they can interview you.

Ah thank you! It sucks but it is what it is. Especially since my case currently has an estimated completion date of March 2019 which is 14 months after I filed! I guess I'll wait a little more where I've been waiting so much anyways. Thanks for your help!

Awesome news, I finally got my oath ceremony letter. Looks like it the 4th of July!!!

No update from myUSCIS, it just appeared in the documents section. Lucky that I was checking every week, exactly 3 weeks from today. So excited to get this all behind me.

One question, on question 2 where is says "Since your interview, have you traveled outside the United States?", I am planning on going abroad for 5 days for work (well technically 2 days in the country I am visiting). Is bringing my flight itinerary enough along with saying YES?

Hi everyone, just checking in after my interview in Baltimore this morning. All went fine and I was "recommended for approval."

After the initial stuff, we went over my application. We made a couple of amendments where I had made mistakes on the original N400, such as saying I had been married twice by accident (note to anyone else in this position: don't panic, like I did last night! You can fix it at the interview!). The officer changed this without any problem. The officer was also not concerned that I could not find my expired UK passports (which you are technically required to bring). She just asked me about my travel, and any foreign travel that had occurred since I submitted the application. Finally I informed her that our outstanding taxes (from 2014, when my husband failed to pay everything he should have done for a contracting job) have finally been paid off and she copied the transcript that showed that.

I can't remember all the questions I was asked, but it definitely included these 3:

1. How many justices are there on the supreme court?

2. If the President and Vice President can not serve, who becomes President?

3. What did the Declaration of Independence do?

I was asked to read the sentence "What country is to the south of the United States?"

The office gave the answer and I was then asked to write "Mexico is to the south of the United States."

She smiled and said I had passed. Sadly no oath ceremony today, but it was nice to see the large, smartly dressed groups of families all gathered for their ceremony. We now wait for the notice on the oath. The officer advised that it would be "a few weeks."

ps. I found the video on the USCIS website that provides an example of the naturalisation interview to be helpful as I prepped yesterday. It meant that no part of today was a surprise. (https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/teachers/educational-products/uscis-naturalization-interview-and-test-video)
