Hi guys!!

Will it be a cause for denial if my fiance doesn't visit me for the entire duration of the K1 visa?  We last saw each other july 2016 and filed the petition sept. 2017 if in case my interview date would be july 2018, (given the current processing times) that would be 2 yrs of no seeing. We wanna save the money for the visits to spend for the visa and by the time i live with him for good. When he was here in the philippines, we're together almost everyday for 7 months.

Thanks in advance!!

We filed a CR1 visa application and had no visits for the 13 month pendency time. Like you, we were trying to save money since each trip to Colombia by me was costing us quite a bit of money. Your 7 months together previously should be sufficient for immigration as face to face time.  Good luck.

My fiancé (now husband) visited me once before we applied for K-1, we had no visits while K-1 was pending. I was questioned about it at the interview, I just said that we didn't have any more time off work. It wasn't an issue in our case.

It's not an ineligibility for the visa, but I would still suggest being there if you can. The more evidence you have of a bona fide relationship, the better. Only you know your case fully. :)
