I will be in Thailand on May 22 for approximately six months to visit my fiancee and to gather the finally documents needed for the K-1 visa. My fiancee wants me to send the paperwork from Thailand to get a head start on process. I will be sending to the CSC. I am paranoid this important package will get "lost" in transit. I have sent letters by regular mail and they never got to the location. Anyone have reccomendations on how to ship, DHL, UPS, Fedex,?

You should be able to use any trackable service. Sometimes sending a package via EMS from another country gets delivered here with DHL. Mail systems have improved all over the world. In most places you dont have to worry about your package getting lost.

EMS is probably the cheapest option. DHL, fedex and UPS are all about the same.

Ask your fiancee which service is available in her town, DHL, UPS or FEDEX. Definitely use them over the regular mail service. These are important papers and the extra cost is going to be well worth it.

I've heard some negative remarks made about DHL. I don't know if those were isolated instances though - maybe Fedex would be better.

I agree with the others though - trace it.

I used FEDEX to send my documents last time and my fiance used UPS. The documents were fine to receive.

While the company where I work is using DHL to send all documents over the world which is fine too.
