Hello everyone,

in the middel of 2015,I applied B2 visa in order to visit my girlfriend and my uncle in the US & I get visa denial cos of my social ties.

my uncle was the one who sent me the invitation latter.the problem is I never filed a form about my girlfriend or told for consular about my girlfriend.the consular asked me if i have relatives in the US and my marriage(relationship)statues.in both of qestions I didn't mention my girlfriend cos honestly it was to personal to tell every detail and I was trying to be correspond according to the invitation sender (My uncle).and it's questions around invitation papers.

First i filed online form according to what has been there on checklist.it was about my marriage status.since I was not married to no one, i filed the form as a single.there was no place to fill or to tell about my relationship as a girlfriend.at this all time my now fiance was my girlfriend but I never manage to indicate that.(maybe scared if the consular thinks I'm going to overstay cos of our relationship)  and denie my B2 visa at that time)

On top of that the consular asked me if i have relatives in the US besides my uncle,I replied i don't have. since my relationship status was/isn't married.single.(I was trying to answer every question she did rise corresponding)

Now applying k1 visa in 2017.i will go to the interview in few coming weeks. but those honest mistakes are following me as a strong fault i guess.didnt know consular may take every word and there own interpretations of it.

The question is,Is this all make me a lier to the consular?

it is going to affect my k1 visa application ?

Cos our relationship starts before i applied a B2 visa i failed by denial.

my k1 visa indicates,....our bona fide documents shows that we where in relationship while I'm applying this B2 visa and before that too.but as i mentioned on top I didn't indicate my relationship or relative status with her.when last time I went for B2 visa.

Pls help what shall I do about it,my interview is few days ahead.

thank you.

B2 does not ask about friends.

Only be an issue oif the CO specifically asked you if you had a GF in the US.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Hello BRUCE1

This asnwer is going to follow you: consular asked me if i have relatives in the US besides my uncle,I replied i don't it has been a while since i went there for my b2 failed visa interview.

If the consular take my words, as if i didn't have a girlfriend but now I rise the all truth in my k1 visa documents about my relationship with my past girlfriend now fiance. Is it going to get consider as a lie ? Cos I even have call records and  my fiance did submitted that shows our ongoing relationship is actually  old enough than the time applied b2 visa .we have very long call records that shows our continues relationship even before my b2 application. (Almost Everyday more than 2 hours call records since the end of 2013 :) )

You didn't lie so what is the issue?  Besides the K-1 is the right visa to be going after.  Many people have been denied for a B1/2 and been successfule

YMMV

How can they consider it a lie if you were never asked?

YMMV

I never mentioned that I'm in relationship,I never mentioned her when the consular asked me who I may know in the US.. I understand that by my side since they never asked me about my GF strait forward it may not matter but from consulate prespective my words my reflect as its word of " I'm single, have no any relationship" but thanks so much :)
