I am a sept 2016 filer from Dallas. And I am still waiting for interview to be scheduled....

its crazy slow in Dallas FO. I had an false interview notice in May 2017 and few days later received a cancellation notice by mail, that my interview is cancelled and to wait for another notice. I called and Immigration officer explain that They send me by mistake the interview notice, that I still have to wait and has time. And nothing yet. I believe there are other September fliers who wait for interviews as well. But I just read that some November filers got their interviews for January, and some already are waiting for oath. So Dallas FO is working unpredictable, and there hasn’t any order. Definitely the PD is not something they are looking to. Good luck to you and to all Dallas people in this waiting game.

Check the stats for Dallas FO in the attached report. It's really bad. they received over 6,000 new application in Q4 and only approved half of them so far. Also, they have over 30,000 pending file.

Thank you for reply.

I had my interview at Jan 16th. Pass the test and answer all question correctly. But officer still can not make decision yet, but he said he recommend to approve

Did you meet this before?

I still waiting for any good new regard to oath letter right now.

still the same. I am an online filer and I don't know if I am in line yet or not. All I have in my status is we have reviewed your bio-metrics. Also, my case estimation is July 2019 so I have no hope whatsoever to have my interview this year.

May be you should call them to look for level 2 officer?

We're in a similar boat.  My wife applied Feb 2, 2017 and it looks like it won't get looked at until April at this rate, which has her panicked and worried.

Those still waiting on interviews at Dallas - do you have NBC or IOE receipt numbers?

IOE tends to be faster and NBC tends to be slower, so I'm guessing most/all of you have NBC numbers?

I am not sure if that's 100% accurate. My wife and I are online filers since Sept and nothing has happen after they took our FPs.

I've gone through VJ timelines from the past few months from Dallas. I found two online (IOE) filers who went through Dallas. One was done (application to oath) in three months, the other five months. There are others who have hovered around 6 months.

Processing time has been updated as of 12/31/2017. For Dallas office they moved 12 days from the previous which was 10/2/2016 for cases submitted as of 11/30/2017. The current processing timeline is cases submitted by 10/14/2016 as of 12/31/2017. So I think with this progress if fair to say any case could take at least 20 months from start to finish. I hope someone else disagree with me and think it could be faster.

That's glacially slow :/  .  At that rate, my wife's case wouldn't get looked at until October, which is yes, about twenty months.  I would suspect it would slow down, as well, not speed up.

How do I know if I have cleared my background check? I have my finger prints taken more than 5 months now. I am an online filer and sent couple of status requests and all I got was an automated reply that I am within the current processing time for my field office. How do I get to know the actual status of my question? any online filer has the same issue?
