Question on vaccinations

My mom will have her IR-5 interview at the end of January, she is turning 62 the day after her interview coincidentally.

I know that Consulate doctors mostly care about tetanus and measles, especially for older folks.

My mom is current on tetanus (and can show it) and actually had measles as a kid (way before a vaccination was available).

In order to avoid an extra shot, which is clearly not needed, can she just take a blood test at her primary doctor and show that she is immune? Would they accept that in lieu of the vaccination record?

The vaccine against measles is available not as a single vaccine but a combo vaccine called MMR - measles, mumps, rubella. Even if your mother had measles and gained immunity against it she would still have to demonstrate immunity against mumps and rubella in order to not get the shot. It's way easier to just get the shot than run lab tests, if you ask me.

This is what I thought, but I read that Consulate doctors typically care about tetanus and measles for older folks (plus, she has the rubella shot, which is mandatory in Italy for females).

The lab test is pretty simple, worth a shot (no pun intended) in my opinion.
