One thing that did cross my mind was increased RFEs due to paperwork going missing   That's the natural worrier in me though.  I hope this transfer moves the process along and the people still waiting from 2016 get their approvals soon

Think we have to be careful, this might be a glitch, as I took a photo of the update yesterday to send to my wife, and that had the date of Feb 25th on there, now today that same thing shows received on Feb 26th. so this might just be a big run around everybody. see if anyone elses changed?

applied for N400 whilst I751 was pending, however I751 was approved without an interview on Jan 10th /11th

N-400 applied Online: 11/7/18

BIO for N400 : 11/30/18

EST. Case Completion: October 2019) of 7/15/19

OATH DATE: 10/24/2019-  received oath letter in the mail on 10/11

I guess its not a glitch. People have been calling their tier 2 and they are saying that it is true. Also those who got a response for their I-751 application like "card being Produced" or whatever when they are trying to put their other WAC# its giving them the error like the old days. So that means their files weren't transferred because they are done.

And  regarding your change of dates..

I think it could be that when they transfer your file you get a message that your file was transferred. And when they receive it at your local office they update it again. Maybe? lol.... I am just trying to understand what they are doing :bonk:

I-485 (AOS)

04/01/2015 Sent Form I-485.

05/06/2015 Scheduled the interview and mailed its notice.

06/16/2015 The Post Office picked up mail containing the new card.

06/16/2015 The 2 years Green Card was mailed to me.

06/18/2015 The 2 years Green Card in hand.

I-751 (ROC)

03/13/2017 Sent I-751 documents to CSC.

03/14/2017 Package received.

03/16/2017 Check cashed.

03/??/2017  NOA received.

03/14/2017 NOA dated.

03/27/2017 Biometrics. "walked-in"

02/26/2018 Case transferred to my local office.

05/01/2018 Case transferred to another office.

05/03/2018 Case transferred to another office.

05/07/2018 Received letter in mail, my case was transferred to NBC. "Letter's date is 05/01/2018"

06/05/2018 Received letter in mail, they will do an interview at the same time, date and location of my N-400 interview. "06/21/2018"

06/21/2018 The combo interview (with N-400 interview). But it's still pending until they send me the result of this interview.

06/27/2018 The case was approved, with the N-400 approval.

06/30/2018 Received the approval letter in mail.

N-400 (Under 3 Years Rule)

04/02/2018 Applied for N-400 Online. (I-751 is still pending)

04/02/2018 Received NOA Online (Received in mail on 4/03/18).

04/27/2018 Biometrics.

05/14/2018 Scheduled the N-400 interview.

06/21/2018 Interview's date.

Passed the English test and the U.S. history and government test.

But: A decision cannot be made yet about my application. The reason is my pending I-751 file!

06/27/2018 The case was approved (with the I-751 approval), and placed me in line for oath ceremony.

07/09/2018 Oath Ceremony was scheduled.

07/20/2018 Oath Ceremony.

U.S. Citizen and proud!

Mine changed date too - yesterday it had the date of Feb 24th and today showing the date of Feb 27th.  If it's not some kind of glitch, I wonder if there has been a processing change where Local Offices are now adjudicating the I-751.

Whilst I remain cautiously optimistic, I think I'm still looking at the same approval time frame as if it was still at CSC (so sometime next year) so if movement happens sooner than at least it will be a pleasant surprise.

11/07/2017 - Mailed I-751 to CSC

11/13/2017 - I-751 delivered to CSC

11/13/2017 - NOA1 Date

11/17/2017 - Received NOA Letter

11/17/2017 - Date of Biometrics Letter

11/24/2017 - Biometrics Letter received

12/08/2017 - Biometrics Appointment Date

08/16/2018 - 18 month extension letter received (dated 08/11/2018)

02/12/2019 - New Card is being Produced

02/22/2019 - 10 Year Green Card received

Interesting, Just find it suspicious that this "transfer" seems to run all the way back to last years submittals, and that as CSC covers a lot of states, that everyone's cases miraculously appears at their local offices at the same day? maybe its the pessimist in me, but sounds a bit strange to me. I have seen too many threads to believe in good news from USCIS lol

EDIT: Besides CSC is only 20 miles from my Local office, lol

I will check again tomorrow and see if mine shows todays date, then I think three date changes are ground for something more complicated than just a transfer. Even though I understand that some VJers called tier 2 officers and were told things got transfers, I just don't in hope into play when things like this happen. Too many ifs and buts and hurry up and waits. but oh well, here is to "hoping" for the best lol

I am a VSC filer.  I just checked and mine also says my cased was "received" at my local office on Feb 25th.  Very strange.

Not sure if folks have seen this https://citizenpath.com/avoiding-i-751-interview/  I know it is from a third party visa assistance firm, so I always wonder how accurate it is.  However if the process described is somewhat true I wonder if our cases have been  "if an interview is deemed necessary, the case is sent to the Service Center’s Adjudications Unit and given to an adjudicator to assign a fraud level. Subsequently, the fraud levels of A, B, and C are assigned to your case based on the documentation submitted with the I-751 petition."   Curious to know what others think.

I know some people on the forums here have called USCIS and spoken to tier 2 officers - some are being told that cases are being transferred to help ease the backlog at the service centers, and some have been told that it's an error and that the cases are still at the service centers.  I guess they call it the misinformation line for a reason :P

I know in the past that cases have been transferred between VSC and CSC to help backlogs, but it's unusual for them to be sent to local offices - especially without any official announcements about it.  My guess is either it is a glitch, or they are changing the process for I-751 and handing it over to the local offices - which could be a good or bad thing for waiting times

Thanks hixsy,  I hope the latter is not true. It appears from the online status that my local service center (New Orleans) is very slow.  The last processing times shows as of Dec 31, 2017 they were processing N-400 cases from Jan 2017.  AKA 12 months behind on N-400!  YIKES

Hi hixsy,

We have similar filing dates, and also receive yesterday "Case was received at my local office", its funny because I had a couple of days without going to the app (which I normally do every day hehehe), was very surprise to see that status update. Since I also filed in November 2017, I'm a bit concern, because I would say its to soon for them to process my removal of condition, but who knows 2018 might be that year :). I wish! So lets wait, please keep me posted if you hear anything else about this, ill do the same. Thank you!
